An Invitation
You will be so welcome in our Zoom meditation room each morning: a free opportunity to meditate and write with like minded folk.
First of all, thank you very much for those of you who have subscribed to my website. This year is flying fast, and no sooner do I finish one thing than another is there to replace it. I am sure I am not alone. With all the shenanigans going on in the world of politics, it is important to have a direction, a reason for waking up in the morning.
Talking about morning, I want to remind all of you that one of my objectives is to encourage our arts community to embrace not just the physical and emotional, but also the spiritual with regard to creative practice. A wonderful question to ask your character (those of you who write/perform): What does my character believe in? What is their purpose?
Every weekday morning (with an occasional exception) we meet for Zoom meditation. A free service for our community. 6.30 am Australian Eastern Standard Time. We meditate for 25 minutes, and then engage in 25 minutes of writing. Monday to Friday. Some stay for the writing, others get on with their day. I provide a writing prompt, something that could be part of your present project…or you just write whatever is taking your interest.
On Saturday mornings, we meet on Zoom at 7am AEST. This gathering is also free. We write for 25 minutes, and then share with the group what we have written (you are not obliged to, but it is very interesting when you read aloud your writing without the opportunity to edit…to have a witness is a powerful process).
If you want to join us (how welcome you will be), please join Sangha for Artists of Life, a private Facebook page. Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/835515145022233
If you don’t use Facebook, then you cannot access the Sangha for Artists of Life page. If you do not wish to create a Facebook account (I totally get it), then contact me directly at +61 410515637 with a text (I am horrid at answering my phone…it doesn’t ring) and I can send you a link. The only issue is that you may not know when plans change (I post changes on the Facebook page). We also have a WhatsApp group, another way of knowing what is going on.
Sending best wishes to everyone who reads this.
May all be well and may you live with ease.
Margi
