FREERANGE 2011: A FABULOUS SOIRE, June 15, 2011

A fabulous "soire" (as Brian Lucas called it)  in Metro Arts Warehouse, where about 40 guests gathered around five round tables to discuss art, and why we do it!  Verve, the popular basement restaurant at Metro Arts created a wonderful menu (three magical courses) and as each new course was introduced,  the groups  reassembled at another table to continue the talk.Congratulations to the leaders of the groups who helped create lively and provocative art discussions: Fiona Winning, Dan Koop, Wesley Enoch, Emily Sexton and Britt Guy;  to the wonderful FREERANGE artists who made up the tables,  and most of all many thanks to Liz Burcham and Dan Evans who along with the Metro team created a memorable event. Gen Trace drew all over the walls: wonderful! This has helped create the FREERANGE '11  community that inspires us all to support each others work, and by so doing, grow our own practice.www.metroarts.com.au/.../Freerange_2011_Brochure_WebPDF_Wed18May.pdf
