Monday's meeting: post Australia Theatre Forum...http://australiantheatreforum.com.au/atf-2011/resources
Last night a group of us met at Sue Benner Theatre Metro Arts where we talked about the Forum, what happened and where to from here. Five attendees talked for a few minutes about what stood out for them, and then questions and comments from the larger group. The major themes that emerged for me are:
- despite some belief in some sections of the industry, we are not a 'whiny' lot, and the flavour of the ATF was positive, upbeat and hopeful.
- we are beginning a social networking (Steven Mitchell Wright has stepped forward to get this live in the next day or so) on facebook to continue the connections.
- everyone is to have a voice. Without stepping forward, how can you build connectedness within the industry
- digital is certainly on the table over the next few years
- relationship seems to be the overwhelming feeling: it is through relationship that we will develop connections and support throughout the nation. not rocket science, but something we sometimes need to remind ourselves

- check out Angharad Wynne-Jones' youtube speech, reading Postcard from the Future (see facebook on this page)
- All in all we had a lovely evening, and if you missed it don't worry, there is another one, next monday night at QTC hosted by Wesley. I cant be there (lecturing) but it is sure to be a good time and another opportunity to continue to thicken the web of connections.
