September and spring
Spring is always welcome. Right around the world. Warmer mornings, gentle afternoons, budding trees, and flowers. Lots of flowers. This spring is a different spring in lockdown. Most of us focus on our own courtyard, or if we are lucky enough to have a back yard, then we pour energy into creating a little oasis. The most wonderful thing happened on Saturday, when I walked the back streets of Glebe (Sydney) and there in many of the front gardens were tables set up, and two or three people around them celebrating the fact that Sydney folk can now have a picnic, if they are double vaxxed. Even in the laneways folding tables and chairs were set up to greet the neighbourhood. All very sedate and proper, yet so beautiful.
It’s been a long 84 days, Melbourne peeps understand extended lockdowns, as do other places in the world, but here in Sydney, this is a first. Its long, but not too arduous, particularly if you have sun, flowers and music.
I have been continuing my workshops on Zoom, this month we have been exploring just what it means to pivot. How do we pivot in a pivoting world? The stories that have emerged have been so uplifting. We have focused on power of place, power of nature, importance of the wisdom of relationship.
Now its time for a walk before my next workshop. I hope you are well and happy. Those of you in Brisbane have the joyful pleasure of attending Brisbane Festival. What fun, and what a privilege. I so love the Brisbane Festival.
